“The one who’s blind. She’s the one that can see.”

After the success of ‘The Deer Hunter’ Studio Canal asked us to Grade and Restore Nicholas Roeg’s cult film Don’t Look Now. We were tasked with handling the upgrade to 4k Dolby Vision HDR. The work was carried out at our London office matching to the previous release in SDR. We set up a suite in Studio Canal’s Theatre ready for the attended grading session with the visionary Director of Photography, Anthony Richmond. Having worked with Tony on the previous release of Don’t Look now’ and ‘The Man Who Fell to Earth’ it was lovely to welcome him back. Over two days and many incredible stories about the shooting of Don’t Look Now, we completed the HDR Dolby Vision, the p3 DCI, and the Rec709 grade. Above is a small interview with those involved including Tony.
