Mark Bonnici - Partner and main contact for Silver Salt Restoration.
Mark’s first major restoration title was Underground (1928) for the BFI. It was one of the first major UK digital restorations taking advantage of advancements in Digital Intermediate technology. The Guardian described the restoration as “a triumph”. A deep understanding regarding the aesthetics of digital restoration was formed with the BFI and has served as the foundation for future restorations. Mark headed the most successful and world renowned Deluxe Restoration team. Some key titles that Mark has been responsible for include Midsomer Murders; The Third Man; The Beatles: 1; Shea Stadium; the Hitchcock 9 project; The Man Who Fell to Earth; and the Treasures project for Sound & Vision. Also large digitisation projects Unlocking Film Heritage; Imperial War Museum; and the Clarks archive. If successful Mark will lead and be responsible for this project.
